1:00 p.m.:  Annual Campground Easter Egg hunt for the kids.

Easter Egg hunt will be held at the Shelter Building, refreshments will be furnished.

Bring your children and grandchildren and join the fun!

In case of bad weather, Egg hunt will be held inside.

Saturday May 12th, 2007:   

 

OPENING DAY, MOTHER'S DAY & ELVIS !

 

5 p.m.:  Annual Opening Dinner

 

The fun starts at 5pm with Dinner, the Entree will be provided and everyone is asked to bring an OVERSIZED dish for everyone to enjoy. 

 

 

At the Opening Dinner we will be honoring all the campground Mothers.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

May 26th, May 27th, & May 28th

 

Saturday May 26th, 2007:

 

2:00 p.m.:  Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade    

Meet at the Shelter House, decorate your golf cart with patriotic decorations.

A trophy and prizes will be awarded for the best decorated golf carts.

** You do not need to decorate your golf cart to participate in the Parade, everybody's participation is appreciated.

 

3:30 p.m.:  Poker Run  -  $2 entry fee per run     

 

The 1st station will be located near the front gate, from there you will be directed to a total of 5 different stations, you will pick 1 card from each station.

The highest poker hand wins and receives half the money taken in for that run.  Only adults are allowed to pick a card and only one person on the golf cart will be allowed to pick a card per trip.

 

6:30 p.m.:  Horseshoe Tournament         

Horseshoe pitch will take place at the horseshoe pits located near the volley ball area.  $3.00 entry fee... Trophies and prized will be awarded. 

 

AT DUSK  -  Drive-In Movie 

Location still to be determined... Drive-In Movie on the golf carts, there will be a concession nearby where you may purchase popcorn, candy, pop and bottled water.

Sunday May 27th, 2007:

 

10 a.m.  - Cruise-In     

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC  -- Admission to the park is free to all Classic Cars. 

The Piston Poppers Car Club will be returning this year.  Campers that have a Classic Car are invited to bring them out. 

All cars that participate will receive a dash plaque.  This year we will be awarding two (2) trophy plaques.

1st Category - Campers Choice      

2nd Category - Campground Owners Choice 

Campers are asked to come by and vote for their favorite car between 10:30am. and 12:45 p.m.  The trophies will be awarded at 1:00 p.m.

Jay will be providing 50's and 60's music at the Shelter House Patio.

 

@2:00 PM  -- MEMORIAL CEREMONY    

Carl Vannatta & Fred Chambers will be Ceremonial Host.

Ceremony will take place at the flag pole near the lake by shelter house. 

All Veterans and Servicemen will be honored during this ceremony and campers are invited to participate in the remembrance ceremony.

 

 

6 pm - Auction & Bake Sale     

Each camper is asked to donate 1 wrapped gift (new or gently used) and/or a baked item to be auctioned off.  All proceeds from the auction and bake sale will go towards entertainment and future activities at the campground. Patty will be bringing her popular peanut butter fudge to be auctioned off!

This event has always been a favorite of the campers and everyone has a great time. 

Come join us for lots of fun!!!

6:00 p.m.: White Elephant Bingo 

White Elephant Bingo will be held at the Shelter House.

Each adult is asked to bring a wrapped gift (new or slightly used) to participate.

Children ages 5 thru 15 years of age will be given prizes purchased through the activity fund if they win at Bingo. 

This is another one of the campers favorite activities... lots of fun!!

Saturday June 16th, 2007:

8:30 am to 10:30am:  Father's Day Breakfast

Father's Day Breakfast will be held at the shelter house.

All campground father's will receive a free country breakfast. YUM, YUM!

All other campers are invited to eat breakfast with a donation to the activity fund.

 

8:00 pm to 11 pm:  Father's Day Dance

Gordon Brooks from Muncie, IN will provide the entertainment for the evening.  Gordon plays 4 instruments and sings the old blues and jazz songs.  If you enjoyed Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, etc... then you will enjoy Gordon Brooks too.

JULY 4TH ACTIVITIES

will be held over June 30th and July 1st

 

Saturday June 30th, 2007:

1:00 p.m.:  Golf Cart Parade    

Meet at the Shelter House, decorate your golf cart with patriotic decorations.

A trophy and prizes will be awarded for the best decorated golf carts.

** You do not need to decorate your golf cart to participate in the Parade, everybody's participation is appreciated.

 

2:30 p.m.:  Blind Driver / Golf Cart Obstacle Course 

Drivers in this event must have a drivers license or a beginners drivers license.  No entry fee, but a trophy will be awarded to the winner.

 

Two (2) people at a time on a golf cart... Driver will be blindfolded and the passenger will be giving driving directions to the driver throughout the course.  Each driver will timed during the course.  The team with the least amount of time and penalties WINS!  If you want to participate and you don't have a golf cart we will get you one to drive through the course.  If you have never done this before you must try it, it is soooooooo much fun!

 

@5:00pm - Pitch-In Dinner     

Bring your favorite meat dish or side dish, or desert to share with everyone.

Coffee will be furnished, otherwise bring your own drinks.

Sunday July 1st, 2007:

 

No activities have been scheduled so that campers can have cook-outs, etc with their families.

GOLF CART WATER BALLOON TOSS  

Anyone interested in having a water-balloon toss on the golf carts in the afternoon may do so, but at their own risk!  Because of safety, no children under 16 are allowed on the golf carts during the balloon toss and no one is allowed to be riding on the golf cart unless seated on the golf cart seat.  Children are not allowed to be running in the area where the balloon toss is going on.  Please obey these rules.  We do not want anyone to get hurt!

Meet in the field east of Shelter House - be prepared to get wet!!.... this is a lot of fun!!  AS ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST !!!!  Remember to aim at the golf cart only, not at the people on it, or at anyone's face.  If this is not obeyed you may be asked to park your golf cart.  We want to have fun not hurt someone.                           PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Children ages 4yrs to 10yrs of age meet at the Shelter House to play Tug of War, Spoon & Egg Game and many more fun things.

6:00 p.m.: Family Weiner Roast 

To be held at the Shelter House.  A campfire to roast wieners will be available at the fire ring near the flag pole at the lake.  Hot dogs, buns, and condiments will be provided.  Please bring a side dish to share with everyone and bring your own drinks.

 

7:30 pm to 10:30 pm: "Kids Only" Karaoke

This will be for the kids of all ages to sing karaoke and the adults are invited to come and listen to them.

Ham and Smoked Turkey will be provided by the activity fund.  Campers are asked to bring a family size dish or desert to share with everyone.

7pm - Auction & Bake Sale     

Each camper is asked to donate 1 wrapped gift (new or gently used) and/or a baked item to be auctioned off.  All proceeds from the auction and bake sale will go towards entertainment (New Year's Eve Party - Nuthin' Fancy Band) and future activities at the campground. Patty will be bringing her popular peanut butter fudge to be auctioned off!

This event has always been a favorite of the campers and everyone has a great time.

Cambridge City Parade (Sunday 2pm)    

The Campground is in the parade, many campers drive/take their golf carts to Cambridge City to participate.

Parade Starts at 2pm  Sunday.

The office has a sign up list, they would like to know how many may participate.

Directions to Cambridge City:  (by car, not for Golf Cart driving)

Left (East) out of campground, Right (South) onto Dublin Pike, Turn Left (East) at Stop Light onto U.S. 40 (approx 2 miles), Stay straight (East) for approx 2 miles and you will run into Cambridge City.

Halloween Fun Day

 

Trick or Treating 

5pm - 6:30pm  - Parents are asked to walk with their children to keep them safe from running in front of golf carts or cars, etc...

 

Judging of Costumes

7pm - At the Shelter House - A $20 gift card will be given to the best adult costume and a $15, a $10, and a $5 gift card will be awarded to the 3 best childrens costumes.

  Cider and Donuts 

will be served during the evenings events.  There will also be a campfire by the lake to enjoy during the evening.

Haunted House 

8pm - "Frightful" Haunted House Tours begin at the  Shelter House.
